The purchase of Brushed By Love was certainly a surprise to owners Bill and Tom Quinn. With the intent of only browsing the 2009 Fasig-Tipton Eastern Fall yearling sale, a striking bay filly caught their eye.  With the trusted advice of Country Life Farm’s Josh Pons, they persevered at the sale and brought this beautiful filly back to Merryland Farm for breaking.  The task of giving a name to this new member of the Quinn family was delegated to Bill’s daughter Carla.  With the help of her brother Aaron and Tom’s children Russell and Melissa, Carla created a family web poll with more than seven names. Eventually, “Brushed By Love” won this family Gallop Poll!  After wintering at Candyland Farm in Delaware, Brushed By Love has returned to Merryland Farm and has begun her formal training.  She has taken to her training schedule well and is looking forward to her racing days ahead
